The Institute of Languages of Universidad Industrial de Santander, invites you to participate in the Public Call No. 003-2024 for the formation of a bank of eligible teachers to carry out a foreign language training project Official educational institutions focused on the department of Santander.

Notes
Those interested in participating in this call must upload the documents, supports and forms duly filled out at the link indicated by the Institute of Languages according to the schedule of the call.
The documentation uploaded by the applicants in the established time will be the only one that will be taken into account throughout the process that is the subject of the call. The Language Institute, by decision of the Primary Group, may authorize the correction of defects in a simple way in the documents provided, during the stage of verification and evaluation of resumes.
The veracity and content of the attached supports will be the sole responsibility of the applicant and, in any case, the UIS Language Institute reserves the right to verify the information provided by the applicant in the resume.
Registrations that do not meet the established requirements, are submitted with incomplete documentation or those that are sent after the date indicated in the call schedule will not be considered.
Each of the stages contemplated in the call are eliminatory. Likewise, the failure of the candidate to present any of the stages will be considered as voluntary withdrawal from the call.
Once entered into the bank of eligible persons, their linkage will be made according to the need of the service.

The result must be at least 60 points to continue to the next stage.
Only one undergraduate degree will be considered
Only one doctoral degree will be recognized
Experience is counted from the date of undergraduate degree and concurrency is not recognized.
Only refresher courses and academic productivity taken during the last 5 years will be taken into account. (The courses for which update points are recognized must be from the pedagogical areas or performance areas of the call).

Certification of official international or institutional UIS exam, level B2 or higher according to CEFR with validity of less than 2 years, C1 Validity of less than 3 years. (This certificate will have points in the evaluation of the resume).
Notes:
If you do not have a valid certificate of proficiency in English with competence B2, C1, you will be summoned by the UIS Institute of Languages for the presentation of the institutional proficiency exam on the date indicated in the call.
Applicants who have a valid certificate of competence will be exempt from taking the IL UIS institutional exam.
Graduates in foreign language graduated from UIS will be exempt from taking the institutional competency exam.

SELECTION
process

An order of eligibility will be established from highest to lowest score, for the election of the candidates in each profile in this call, according to the score obtained in the evaluation of the resume for each of the applications.
In the event that the applicant does not accept the conclusion of the contract or does not complete it within the period specified in the schedule, the right will be awarded to the next on the list of eligible candidates and so on until the list of eligible candidates is exhausted.
The list of eligible candidates will be valid for one hundred (100) calendar days from its final publication, so that, in the event of early termination of the CONTRACT due to any circumstance and the consequent release of a space, the next on the list of eligible candidates may be called, while it is in force.
The inclusion of an application in the list of eligible candidates does not imply any obligation or commitment on the part of the Universidad Industrial de Santander UIS or the UIS Language Institute to assign spaces, nor does it generate the right to receive financial support for those who have submitted the corresponding applications.
Tie-breaking criteria: In the event of a tie in the total score of two or more candidates, the Universidad Industrial de Santander, through the UIS Language Institute, will select the candidate who enters the list of eligible candidates and their order of eligibility by applying the following criteria:
As the first tie-breaking factor, priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate greater experience in the position.
As a second tie-breaking factor, priority will be given to candidates who have a higher academic preparation verified in a degree.
As a third tie-breaking factor, candidates whose main residence is in a municipality in the department of Santander will have priority.
If the tie continues, the first application received will be chosen.

August 20, 2024 – Review of registrants and sending of the institutional resume format FTH-150 to registered candidates.
August 21 to 22, 2024 – Receipt of the FTH-150 resume format duly filled out with the supports and attachments by the participants.
August 23 to 26, 2024 – Verification of compliance with requirements and evaluation of resumes.
INSTITUTIONAL

August 27, 2024 – Publication of the results of the verification of requirements and evaluation of resume.
The summons is sent by email to candidates who are going to take the IL UIS institutional exam.
August 28, 2024 – Receipt of appeals for reconsideration (1 business day to file the appeal).
August 28 to 29, 2024 – Registration or updating of resume in the academic system of the Institute of Languages (teacher aspiring – Institute of Languages)
August 29, 2024 – Administration of the Institutional competency exam to the aforementioned candidates.

September 02, 2024 – Email sent to applicants who passed all the stages to self-register data and documents on the SIA platform.
September 03, 2024 – Publication of the list of candidates who become part of the Eligible Group.
September 04, 2024 – Receipt of appeals for reconsideration (1 working day to file the appeal).
04 – 05 September 2024 – Inclusion in the UIS Language Institute’s pool of candidates for Instructor Professors.
