In this sense, it should be borne in mind that a 30-minute session of learning mediation is a simulation and that, beyond evaluating the complex knowledge that the teacher possesses in the domain of educational sciences, he observes the teacher’s competencies to take advantage of communication scenarios to support learning. In this sense, the teaching session seeks to assess, in the mediator:

  • The strategies of taking advantage of the interventions of the interlocutors to assess the understanding that they carry of the treatment of the subject.

  • The ways of involving the interested interlocutors in the activity or teaching session.

  • The use of the error of the interlocutors for the understanding of the subject, which implies metacognitive processes in the classroom.

  • The flexibility of the plan or planned strategy to be appropriate to the reality of the interaction in the development of the teaching session.
  • The way in which it articulates various information, the interest in investigating in sources other than what the teacher provides, the relationship of the subject treated with professional training in the domain of interest and depending on the commitment of the interlocutors with the world in which they live.

Prior to the development of the teaching session, the candidate must send the written proposal for a teaching session, defined as an alternative pedagogical and didactic action that aims to organize the teaching process to enhance learning and integral training. For this purpose, the written proposal must define theoretical bases of pedagogical, didactic and disciplinary order, from which previous knowledge is observed, teaching objectives and learning outcomes are established, classroom activities and didactic instruments are organized and related, in addition, the evaluation process is established.

The characteristics of the preparation of the written proposal of the teaching session will be the following: a maximum of 8,000 characters, including bibliography, preferably font Times New Roman, 12 and APA Standards for citations and references.

The teaching session with its content and formal elements, will be evaluated based on a series of criteria and indicators expressed in the assessment matrix found in more detail in the Teacher Selection Regulations – Agreement No. 046 of 2021 on page 18 of the PDF.

  • Objectives:

Concordance with the problem or question.

If when qualifying the resume of an applicant, it is concluded that he does not meet any of the requirements to participate in the teaching contest or one of the requirements defined in the profile, the applicant will not continue in the process and therefore the qualification of his resume does not proceed.

For the evaluation of the resume in the contest of young talents, only the aspects and scores indicated in the table that can be consulted in the Teacher Selection Regulations – Agreement No. 046 of 2021 on page 21 of the PDF will be taken into account.

  • The construction of a brief experience that motivates the interlocutors in front of the subject or topic of the session.

  • The quality, depth and complexity of the knowledge treated, without detriment to the dosage, relevance and language proportional to the (supposed) competence of the interlocutors.
