Within this framework, and according to Agreement 277 of 2011, the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) selected the Moodle platform as an institutional scenario for online meetings, to support didactic strategies in training processes, in addition to guaranteeing technical support and human talent trained to meet the proposals generated in each of its academic and administrative units.

As of 2021, the leading ICT team – ELTIC included in its ICT portfolio a call especially aimed at promoting the engagement of students as support for the transformation of teaching strategies, based on the degree works of the academic programs where they are a requirement to graduate. However, given that the Faculty of Health does not require undergraduate work, this call called “Aula-TIC Salud 2023-1” has been created as an institutional strategy to support teaching to motivate, promote, and achieve better learning results, through the cooperation of students in the Faculty of Health.
