Call for Applications – 2025 Common Cycle Adjunct Faculty Positions

GENERAL

Considerations

The Universidad Industrial de Santander is interested in forming a List of Candidates for Common Cycle Adjunct Faculty Positions.

The Common Cycle Adjunct Faculty Member of the Universidad Industrial de Santander is a professional with the academic qualifications required to carry out activities exclusively related to the University’s educational mission. This role involves full-time dedication (40 hours per week). The faculty member is not a public employee, does not belong to the teaching career track, and is not an official worker.

The teaching activities assigned to a Common Cycle Adjunct Faculty Member shall under no circumstances be fewer than 22 hours per week during the regular academic term. During intersession periods or academic recesses, these activities may include teaching intersession courses, advanced courses, or non-degree courses, among others, offered according to the faculty member’s area of expertise; as well as participation in faculty development activities or academic management support.

Any person aspiring to become a Common Cycle Adjunct Faculty Member at the Universidad Industrial de Santander must demonstrate a full sense of commitment, ethical responsibility, and social awareness regarding the educational process and the integral formation of students, in accordance with the Pedagogical Model. This model has been defined through consensus among professors, students, administrators, and other members of the institution, and it establishes the principles and framework for implementing the educational process at the Universidad Industrial de Santander.

PROFILES OF THE

Call

The public call to form the List of Candidates for Common Cycle Adjunct Faculty Positions seeks to hire three (3) full-time adjunct faculty members for the following profiles and locations:

REQUIREMENTS OF THE

Call

  1. Hold a professional degree in the area corresponding to the defined profile.
  2. Provide evidence of at least 60 hours of training courses related to teaching practice, completed within the last five (5) years.
  3. Provide evidence of at least three (3) years of university-level teaching experience.
  4. Submit a letter of application expressing the applicant’s interest, motivation, and full-time availability to serve as a Common Cycle Adjunct Faculty Member, indicating the profile for which they are applying.
  5. Complete the application form in accordance with the terms of the call.
  6. Submit a résumé using the format established by the University, along with all required annexes and supporting documents.
  7. Not be subject to any constitutional or legal grounds for disqualification or incompatibility.

REQUIRED

Documentation

  • Photocopy of the undergraduate degree.
  • Photocopy of the postgraduate degree(s).
  • Institutional certificates demonstrating professional experience. These must have been issued after obtaining the undergraduate degree and must include the following information: institution, type of employment or contract, position held, duties performed, project or course title, type of dedication (full-time, part-time, hours per week), and start and end dates.
  • Any other documents that allow verification of compliance with the requirements and the information provided in the résumé.

APPLICATION

Procedure

Applicants must digitize all required forms and documents for the application and compile them into a single PDF file (maximum size 10 MB). The file name must include the applicant’s full name and be submitted through the APPLICANT REGISTRATION LINK.

The documents must be organized in the following order:

Notes

  1. Applicants interested in participating in the public call to form the List of Candidates for Common Cycle Adjunct Faculty Positions must upload the duly signed documents and supporting materials through the online form provided by the Office of the Academic Vice Rector on the call’s microsite.
  2. All submitted documentation must be properly numbered and organized chronologically from the most recent to the oldest.
  3. During the requirements verification stage, no type of equivalency between studies and professional experience will be applied.
  4. The accuracy and validity of the supporting documents submitted are the sole responsibility of the applicant. In any case, the University reserves the right to verify the information provided.
  5. After the application deadline, no omissions or missing documents required to accredit eligibility conditions will be accepted.
  6. The tests will be conducted on the dates established in the schedule of activities approved by the Academic Council Agreement under which this call was issued.
  7. Information about the time and place of the tests will be published on the University website along with the results of each stage.
  8. Failure to attend any of the scheduled tests will be considered as a voluntary withdrawal from the selection process.
  9. The results of each stage of this call will be announced through the University’s institutional website.
  10. Applicants may apply to only one (1) profile within this call. If multiple applications are submitted (for more than one profile), only the last submission will be considered by the University.
