- General Notes
Curriculum Evaluation
- Verification of the submission of the resume in FTH.150 format with supporting documents.
- Evaluation of the FTH.150 resume: The minimum required score for this evaluation is 50 points to proceed to the next stage of the process.
- Important Considerations:
- Only one undergraduate degree will be considered.
- Only one doctoral degree will be recognized.
- Experience is counted from the undergraduate graduation date, and simultaneity is not recognized.
- Certificates of professional development courses and academic productivity completed within the last five years will be considered to add points to the resume evaluation. (Professional development courses must be in pedagogical areas or related to the fields of the call for applications.)
Language Proficiency
Candidates must submit certification of an official international or UIS institutional language proficiency exam, demonstrating a B2 level or higher according to the CEFR, with the following validity periods:
- B2 level: Certificate must be less than 2 years old.
- C1 level: Certificate must be less than 3 years old.
(This certification will contribute points to the resume evaluation.)
Notes:
- Applicants who do not submit a language proficiency certificate but meet the other requirements will be invited by the UIS Language Institute to take the institutional proficiency exam on the date specified in the call for applications.
- Applicants who hold a valid and recognized proficiency certificate will be exempt from taking the UIS Language Institute exam (this will contribute points to the resume evaluation).
- UIS graduates with a degree in foreign language teaching will be exempt from taking the institutional proficiency exam for this selection process. However, like all eligible candidates, they must present either an international or UIS institutional proficiency exam every two years to remain in the Eligible Candidates Pool.
Important:
Being included in the Eligible Candidates Pool does not imply any obligation or commitment from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) or the UIS Language Institute to assign teaching positions, nor does it grant any right to financial support for applicants.
Once admitted to the Eligible Candidates Pool, appointment will depend on service needs, considering the campus, schedule, and profile applied for.
Teaching Session
- 10-minute sample class evaluation.
- The minimum score required to proceed in the selection process is 15 points.
Interview Evaluation
- The interview will be assessed based on predefined criteria.
- The minimum required score to proceed in the selection process will be determined according to the evaluation rubric.
General Notes
- The documentation uploaded by applicants within the established timeframe will be the only documentation considered throughout the selection process. The Language Institute, by decision of the Primary Group, may authorize the correction of minor formal defects in the submitted documents during the verification and resume evaluation stage.
- The accuracy and content of the submitted supporting documents are the sole responsibility of the applicant. The UIS Language Institute reserves the right to verify the information provided in the applicant’s resume.
- Applications that do not meet the established requirements, are incomplete, or are submitted after the deadline specified in the call for applications schedule will not be considered.
- Male candidates must take into account that: “To be eligible for employment at the university, among other legal requirements, the applicant must provide proof that they have resolved their military service status. This can be verified by submitting a copy of the Military Service Card, Provisional Service Card, or another document as determined by the Military Recruitment Office.”
- Each stage of the selection process is eliminatory. Failure to complete any of the required stages will be considered voluntary withdrawal from the selection process.
- Once admitted to the Eligible Candidates Pool, appointment will depend on service needs.
