Within this framework, and according to Agreement 277 of 2011, Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) selected the Moodle platform as an institutional setting for online meetings, to support didactic strategies in training processes, in addition to guaranteeing technical support and trained human talent to attend to the proposals generated in each of its academic and administrative units.
As of 2021, the ICT Leadership Team – ELTIC included in its ICT portfolio a call especially aimed at promoting the engagement of students as support for the transformation of teaching strategies, based on the degree work of the academic programs where these are a requirement to graduate. However, given that the Faculty of Health does not require undergraduate work, this call called “Aula-TIC Salud 2024” has been created as an institutional strategy to support teaching to motivate, promote, and achieve better learning results, through the cooperation of students in the Faculty of Health.

From the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Health, an invitation will be sent to the professors of the Faculty. The aim is for teachers to identify with one of the following scenarios:
Have a subject that does not have an AV in the 2024-2 semester, if it is an annual subject, and you want to design it during the 2024-2 semester and implement it in the same semester or 2025-1 semester in the case of an annual subject.
Have a VA and require support to improve it during the 2024-2 semester and implement it in the same semester or semester 2025-1 in the case of an annual course.
Once the most appropriate scenario has been identified, professors who wish to apply should contact a student, who meets the requirements to be hired with a student assistantship and must collect the following documents:
Summary curriculum vitae of the candidate student (free format, not to exceed one sheet).
Copy of:
Citizenship card,
UIS student card,
Semester 2024-1 Grade Polygraph,
Semester 2024-2 Class Schedule,
Screenshot with proof of registration in the page Call for Assistants (Registration tutorial)
Completed ARL form. You can download an Excel version for editing HERE.
The teacher, with the support of the student candidate, must identify a list of activities to be carried out by the student assistant, and describe how these activities will allow the teacher to achieve the objective proposed with the application.
To formalize the application, the form “Call for student assistants of academic programs attached to the Faculty of Health that strengthen the implementation of virtual classrooms in Moodle” must be filled out before the deadline established in this call (see schedule).
An example of the form is available in order to facilitate the preparation of the application in advance and to have the supporting documents of the student assistant that must be in the same PDF file and attached to the final form.
These documents are: 1. Summary resume, 2. ID card, 3. UIS student card, 4. Polygraph of grades for the semester 2024-1, 5. Schedule of the semester 2024-2, 6. Screenshot with the proof of registration on the page of students call for assistants (administrative assistantship), and 7. Completed ARL form.
The final application form is available HERE, remember to prepare the student assistant’s support document in a single pdf file to attach to the aforementioned form.
ASSIGNMENT OF

To award the number of hours for each student assistant, the main selection criterion of this call is the order in the lists formed during the registration of the applications for each scenario with a minimum of 5 winners and a maximum according to available resource.
Within the time allotted for the assistantship, the student must dedicate 10 hours for training in the role of course editor on the institutional Moodle platform. This training will be guided and certified from CEDEDUIS.
The minimum number of hours that will be allocated for each assistant in the semester for the first scenario will be 45 and for the second scenario it will be 30 and in both cases the auxiliary hours must be executed during the 2024-2 semester. It should be added that for the annual subjects only auxiliary hours will be assigned for the 2024-2 semester.
The results of this call will be sent via email to each of the registered teachers and students.
CALL

Certificate of the teacher of participation in the course* “University Policies: Pedagogical Model UIS21 – Recognizing us” offered by CEDEDUIS.
Certificate of the training student about the management of the Moodle platform issued by CEDEDUIS.
