GENERAL
Considerations
The Rector’s Office of the Universidad Industrial de Santander orders the opening of the first open merit-based competition in 2023, for the selection of six (6) Laboratory Services Assistants, with full-time dedication, at operative level, assigned to the Physical Plant Division.
The applicants selected after this merit-based competition will be hired as Official Workers of the University, an institution with a special regime that grants it autonomy, linked to the Ministry of National Education, organized as a public establishment of the departmental order, which has legal status, academic, administrative, and financial autonomy, and an independent patrimony.
The University announces this call for applications to the general public.

- Claims or observations must be submitted by written communication from August 14 to 16, 2023, from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the UIS Bucarica Headquarters, Carrera 19 # 35-02, Bucaramanga, Reception (First Floor), the same space that was adapted for the delivery of resumes by the candidates to the contest.
- In the communication submitted, the applicant must specify the following information:
- Name of the office to which you applied.
- Claim or observation with the respective arguments.
- Address to which the response to the claim or observation by the University will be sent, or email account to which the response can be sent.
* The answers to the claims or observations presented, will be sent to the address and / or email account registered in the communication sent by the applicant.
* Claims or observations must be submitted by written communication on August 29 and 30, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the UIS Bucarica Headquarters, Carrera 19 # 35-02, Bucaramanga, Reception (First Floor), same space that was adapted for the delivery of resumes by the candidates to the contest.
*In the communication presented, the applicant must specify the following information:
Convocation number and name of the position to which you applied.
Claim or observation with the respective arguments.
Address to which the response to the claim or observation by the University will be sent, or email account to which the response can be sent.
* The responses to the claims or observations presented regarding the preliminary results Valuation Curriculum Vitae – Call No. 001 of 2023, will be sent to the address and / or email account registered in the communication sent by the applicant.
The candidates who qualified for the practice of the second test, called the psychotechnical test, are summoned on the date and time presented below:
Date: Monday, September 4, 2023
Place: Universidad Industrial de Santander, Carrera 27 Calle 9 Campus Central, Edificio CENTIC.
Directions:
Present yourself at the goal of cra 30 or cra 27 at least half an hour before the aforementioned time.
Have the time indicated at the aforementioned time (three hours).
Bring identification document (cédula).
The entry of cell phones, bags, briefcases, etc. is prohibited.

8. Knowledge Test

The candidates who qualified for the practice of the third test, called the Knowledge Test, are summoned as follows:
Theoretical Test
Date: Friday, September 15, 2023
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 1100 a.m.
Place: UIS Bucarica Headquarters, Carrera 19 #35-02, Salón Hormiga.
Directions:
Arrive at least 15 minutes before the aforementioned time and have the indicated time (three hours).
Bring identification document (cédula).
Bring a pen.
The entry of cell phones, bags, briefcases, etc. is prohibited.

Practice Test
Date: Saturday, September 16, 2023
Time: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Place: Universidad Industrial de Santander (Cr. 27 Calle 9, Main Campus)
Meeting point: Camilo Torres Building, Hybrid Classroom 201.
Directions:
Present yourself at the goal of race 30 or race 27 at least half an hour before the aforementioned time and have the indicated time (six hours).
Bring identification document (cédula).
Bring a pen.
Bring comfortable clothes (jeans and t-shirt) and closed shoes with socks.
The entry of cell phones, bags, briefcases, etc. is prohibited.

Claims or observations must be submitted by written communication on September 21 and 22, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the UIS Bucarica Headquarters, Carrera 19 # 35-02, Bucaramanga, Reception (First Floor), same space that was adapted for the delivery of resumes by the candidates to the contest.
In the communication submitted, the applicant must specify the following information:
Convocation number and name of the position to which you applied.
Claim or observation with the respective arguments.

Complaints or Observations
The responses to the claims or observations submitted, will be sent to the address and / or email account registered in the communication sent by the applicant.
9. Competency Interview
Applicants who qualified for the practice of the Competency Interview are summoned on the date and time presented below:
Date: Thursday, September 28, 2023.
Time: From 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 m. (Each applicant has an assigned appointment time. Consult the attached list)
Place: Room 217 – UIS Bucarica Headquarters, Carrera 19 #35-02.
Directions:
Arrive at least 10 minutes before the appointed time.
Have the time indicated in the aforementioned time (20 minutes).
Bring identification document (cédula).
Bring a pen.
The entry of cell phones, bags, briefcases, etc. is prohibited.

10. Final Results
Claims or observations due to arithmetic error must be submitted by written communication on October 2 and 3, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the UIS Bucarica Headquarters, Carrera 19 # 35-02, Bucaramanga, Reception (First Floor), the same space that was adapted for the delivery of resumes by the candidates to the contest.
In the communication submitted, the applicant must specify the following information:
Convocation number and name of the position to which you applied.

Address to which the response to the claim or observation by the University will be sent, or email account to which the response can be sent.
11. List of Eligibility:
The appeal against the list of eligible candidates must be filed by written communication from October 13 to 20, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the UIS Bucarica Headquarters, Carrera 19 # 35-02, Bucaramanga, Reception (First Floor), same space that was adapted for the delivery of resumes by the candidates to the contest.
In the communication submitted, the applicant must specify the following information:
Convocation number and name of the position to which you applied.
Appeal with the respective arguments.
Address to which the response to the resource will be sent, or email account to which the response can be sent.
12. Claims List of Eligible:
In compliance with the schedule of the competition and taking into account that no appeals were received against the list of eligible candidates published on October 6, 2023, Universidad Industrial de Santander informs that the Rector’s Resolution No. 1490 of 2023 has been finalized, by which the list of eligible to fill the positions of Official Worker of the first call for open merit competition of the year 2023 is formed.
